The first of the JTHP artworks to be installed, this was an exciting 'milestone' for the project...

Saffron's Stone Carving Workshop

Stone carver Saffron Waghorn, who will be making the boxing glove seats, came to visit from Skipsea. She ran a workshop in the morning for some of the boxers from Brendan Ingle's Gym on Newman Road. They learnt basic carving and stone masonry skills and made their own relief carvings, as you can see below.
